Having reviewed the Staff Diversity & Inclusion Report in detail, in your group please discuss and complete a SWOT Analysis - This is predominately from a Diversity & Inclusion perspective.  


  1. Strengths are Internal
  2. Weaknesses are Internal
  3. Opportunities are External
  4. Threats are External 


  • Think about culture/training/standards/expectations 
  • Refer to the recommendations of the report - Do you agree/disagree or wish to expand these?
  • Think about competitor activity/competitors attracting internal talent / attracting top candidates / winning more business.
  • Think about ensuring the business is 'ready' for change - what needs to happen to manage diversity - what needs to happen to support existing people managers?
  • What is happening within the sector, and how might this impact the business over the next 2-5 years
  • Think about retaining talent, what this currently looks like - what is driving attrition and what needs to happen to reduce this

  • You want to encourage honest conversations about 'WHY' things are currently happening  - you are trying to understand the current state.
  • You are not describing how things should be, or how you would like them to be, this is a current snapshot of the current landscape
